Vivo X80 Series Poster Leaked Ahead of Launch; Reveals Design and Camera Specifications

Vivo is rumoured to launch the Vivo X80 series soon in China. The company might unveil three premium Android smartphones in China under the X80 series. These include the X80, X80 Pro, and X80 Pro+. The company is expected to announce the official launch date very soon. As per the rumour mill, the launch event will take place on April 25, with the sale beginning on April 29 in China. While we wait for the official launch date, the poster of the Vivo X80 series has leaked online. The leaked poster reveals the design and some key camera specs of the X80 series.

Vivo X80 series poster leaked

Vivo X80 series is expected to launch soon in China. Ahead of the global debut, the launch poster of the Android flagship has leaked online. According to the leaked poster posted on Weibo, the X80 series will have a huge camera island on the back. The devices will launch in an orange colour option.

The device in the image has a quad-camera setup. Three out of the four camera sensors are placed inside a circular camera module with the Zeiss T* coating branding. The fourth sensor, which is a periscope lens, is placed at the bottom left corner of the camera island. The main camera uses a Samsung 1/1.3” Samsung GN5 sensor, which is a 50MP sensor. It comes with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS).

In addition to this, the poster further confirms that the X80 series will come with Vivo’s custom-developed V1+ chip, which is likely to have received some enhancements over the original V1 chip.

The last piece of detail confirmed via the leaked poster is about the processor. The X80 series will feature a 4nm chip. According to leaks, the Pro+ model will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, whereas the X80 Pro will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The vanilla model is likely to get a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC.

Other details leaked so far include a 6.78-inch AMOLED display across all three models with a 120Hz refresh rate support. The X80 will come with a flat display featuring a Full HD+ resolution. The Pro and Pro+ will come with a QHD+ resolution, with the latter featuring a curved display. Other than the 50MP sensor, the X80 series will feature a 48MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto camera and a 50MP portrait camera sensor.
