Vivo X80, X80 Pro Global Variants Listed on FCC and NBTC Certification Websites Ahead of May 8 Launch

The Vivo X80 series devices were launched in China earlier this week. The company launched the Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro smartphones in its home country. The X80 series phones are all set to hit the global market next week. Vivo has already confirmed the launch of the X80 series globally on May 8. At the event along with the vanilla X80 and X80 Pro devices, we are also expecting the Pro Plus version of the device to launch. However, there is no confirmation on the same yet.

The Vivo X80 Pro device has now been spotted on the FCC website ahead of the May 8 launch. The phone has been listed with the V2145 model number on the FCC database. Apart from the model number, the device’s dual SIM support is also confirmed via the listing. But, the website does not reveal any other information. Further, the Vivo X80 with V2144 has been spotted on NBTC certification as well. The X80 Pro has also cleared the NBTC certification. On the NBTC website, both phones are listed to support 5G network.

Vivo X80 Pro: Specifications and Features

The Vivo X80 Pro sports a 6.78-inch E5 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone comes in two processor options 一 MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It offers up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The X80 Pro comes with a 50MP (f/1.57, OIS) GNV main camera, a 48MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 12MP (f/1.85)portrait camera, and an 8MP ( f/3.4, OIS) telephoto lens. To the front, the device offers a 32MP selfie camera. The phone is backed by a 4,700mAh battery unit with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. In terms of software, the handset runs on OriginOS Ocean OS based on Android 12. Lastly, the phone measures 9.1mm thick and weighs 215 grams.

The Vivo X80 series is also expected to launch in India on May 18, going by the teaser on Vivo India website.
