Vivo is rumoured to launch the X80 series later this month. Unlike the currently-available models, the upcoming X-series is rumoured to feature two smartphones. Vivo will launch the X80 and a Pro model alongside. The Pro+ model is said to be replaced by the X Note, which is slated to debut on April 11 in China.
The company has not yet revealed its plans to unveil the X80 series. The flagship smartphones are expected to launch at the end of this month. Vivo X80, X80 Pro Specifications Leaked
Vivo will launch the X80 series flagship Android smartphones very soon in China. The devices are expected to launch in India in May 2022. Ahead of the official launch, a new leak has revealed the key specs of both smartphones. A tipster (via GizmoChina) has revealed that the upcoming Android flagship smartphones from Vivo will come with a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Both smartphones, the X80 and X80 Pro are said to feature the top-of-the-line MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The company is expected to launch the devices with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Both smartphones are also said to sport the same 6.78-inch AMOLED display. However, the X80 Pro will come with a QHD+ display, whereas the vanilla model will feature a Full HD+ resolution. Both devices will come with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and 1500 nits of peak brightness. The Pro model is said to get an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner as well.
Under the hood, the Pro model will also pack a larger 4700 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The standard model will pack a 4500 mAh battery. In terms of cameras, the phones will feature a 32MP front camera. The vanilla model will come with a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom.
The X80 Pro, on the other hand, will have a quad-camera setup. There will be a 50MP GN1 main camera, a 48MP Sony IMX598 ultrawide lens, a 12MP portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom and gimbal OIS support, and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x zoom and OIS support.
The devices are also rumoured to feature a vapour cooling system for thermal management. Both devices will run Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean out of the box.
