Vivo X90 5G India/ Global Variant Spotted on Bluetooth SIG Certification Website Ahead of Launch

While Vivo is yet to comment on the global launch date of the X90 series, we can expect it to take place very soon.


Vivo recently launched the X90 series in China. The company’s flagship smartphone series includes three premium devices. These include the Vivo X90, X90 Pro and X90 Pro+. The X90 series is expected to launch very soon in India. Vivo might launch the phones in India by early next year. While we wait for the launch date, the X90 India/ Global variant has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website.

The listing on Bluetooth SIG suggests that the global launch of the X90 series is imminent. The vanilla model comes with some impressive upgrades over its predecessor. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X90 specifications, features and other details ahead of its global launch.

Vivo X90 India/ Global Launch Expected Soon

The vanilla Vivo X90 could debut in the Indian/ global markets very soon as it has cleared the Bluetooth SIG certification website. The listing reveals that the global variant has the model number V2218. The same model is likely to launch in India.

The Bluetooth SIG listing of the X90 also reveals that the phone supports Bluetooth 5.3. While Vivo is yet to comment on the global launch date, we can expect it to take place very soon. Some reports have suggested a year-end global launch of the X90 series. However, we advise taking the rumoured timeline with a pinch of salt.

The X90 sits at the bottom of the lineup currently in China. The global variant is likely to pack the same set of specifications and features. This means that the phone could possibly pack a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC under the hood. It is likely to launch with 8GB/ 12GB RAM options with up to 256GB of internal storage. The same device was spotted on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM on Geekbench.

The X90 global variant is also expected to sport the same 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support found in the Chinese variant. There is a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the 32MP front camera. On the back, the large circular camera module will house a triple-camera setup. The X90 5G global variant will feature a 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera along with a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom.

It will also pack a 4,810mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging out of the box. The device runs Android 13 out of the box in China. Its global variant will have Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13.
