Vivo X90 Pro+ 5G with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, Android 13 Spotted on Geekbench


Vivo X90 series is expected to launch soon. The company has started dropping teasers of its next generation of flagship phones in China. The Vivo X90 series is likely to include three phones. These include the X90, X90 Pro and X90 Pro+ 5G. The Vivo X90 Pro+ will sit at the top of the lineup. 

Vivo has teased the design of the Pro+ flagship smartphone. The phone will sport a faux leather back panel, on top of which houses a circular camera module. The performance unit details of the phone have now surfaced online, courtesy of a Geekbench listing. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X90 Pro+ 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.

Vivo X90 Pro+ 5G Geekbench

The Vivo X90 Pro+ 5G will launch as a successor to the X80 Pro 5G, which was launched earlier this year. The phone has the model number V2227A. According to the Geekbench listing, the X90 Pro+ 5G draws power from a Qualcomm Kalama SoC, which is the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The listing also reveals that the SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.19GHz. It also features four performance cores clocked at 2.80GHz and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz. 

The device’s variant listed on Geekbench has 12GB of RAM. We can expect the phone to arrive with an 8GB RAM option as well. The X90 Pro+ 5G scored 1485 and 4739 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

The phone runs Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of Origin OS Ocean on top of Android. The Indian variant will feature Funtouch OS 13 out of the box.

Other details about the phone have leaked as well. The X90 Pro+ will feature a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch camera sensor. The quad-camera setup will also include a 48MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP sensor telephoto camera and a 64MP periscope camera.

For selfies, the X90 Pro+ will feature a 32MP front camera. The device, as expected, will feature the Vivo V2 custom ISP, which is claimed to enhance the camera performance in low light and portrait mode. 

On the front, there will be a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to pack a 5000mAh battery and support 100W fast charging out of the box.
