Vivo has not confirmed any details officially but a new report by GSM Arena has spilled some beans. The report claims that Vivo will launch the X90 series with a 1-inch camera sensor. While this particular piece of information has been floating on the web for a while, the report shines some more details about the camera sensor.

According to GSM Arena, the X90 series will debut with a new 1-inch Sony IMX989 camera sensor. This is the same sensor used by Xiaomi in its 12S Ultra. There will be the new V2 chip as well, which was unveiled recently. The chip is aimed to improve the camera performance in portrait mode and lowlight as well.

In addition to this, the X90 series is said to feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera sensor. It will use 4-in-1 pixel binning and 3-exposure staggered HDR to produce 16MP images.

The X90 series will also include a 50MP portrait sensor. The new Sony IMX758 sensor will be an upgrade over the current models, which feature a 13MP portrait sensor. The report also claimed that, like the iPhone 14, the X90 series will support Dolby Vision – for shooting, editing and viewing.
