Vivo X90 Series Global Launch Date Leaked Ahead of Official Announcement

Vivo recently launched the X90 series in China. The company launched its three premium flagship smartphones, namely the X90, X90 Pro and X90 Pro+ 5G. All three Vivo X90 series phones are expected to launch soon in India and other markets. The company is expected to launch its latest flagship in India during the first quarter of 2023. The exact launch date for the Indian market is unknown. Meanwhile, the global launch date of the Vivo X90 series has reportedly leaked online.

A new leaked poster has revealed the alleged date of the X90 series global launch. It reveals that Vivo could launch the X90 series globally on January 31, 2023. Vivo has not confirmed any details about the global launch date at the time of writing this. Therefore, we advise taking the leaked details with a pinch of salt.

The company is expected to launch all three devices in the global markets. At the top of the lineup is the X90 Pro+ 5G, which features a quad-camera setup. The X90, like its more premium siblings, comes with a curved display. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X90 series specifications, features and other details.

Vivo X90 Series Specifications

The Vivo X90 series features the same 6.78-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display with HDR10+ support. The X90 Pro+ 5G’s display has LTPO 4.0 technology for the dynamic 120Hz refresh rate switching and also comes with a QHD+ resolution. The other two phones come with a Full HD+ resolution.

The X90 Pro+ 5G also features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and packs a 4700mAh battery. It supports 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and reverse charging as well. The X90 Pro+ 5G also features a quad-camera setup on the back. The highlight feature is the inclusion of the Sony IMX989 1-inch 50MP main camera sensor. It is accompanied by a 48MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and a 64MP periscope camera.

The X90 Pro shares the primary 50MP 1-inch sensor with the X90 Pro+ 5G. It also comes with a 50MP telephoto camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The X90 Pro packs a bigger 4870mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and reverse charging.

The X90 Pro and X90 feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC under the hood. The X90 5G also features a triple-camera setup like the X90 Pro 5G but the sensors used are different. The vanilla X90 has a 50MP main camera, a 12MP telephoto camera and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. It packs a 4810mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

All three phones feature a 32MP front camera. They also feature Android 13-based Origin OS Forest in China. The global variants will run Funtouch OS 13 out of the box.

Vivo has launched the X90 in China at a starting price of CNY 3699 (roughly Rs 43,900) and the X90 Pro+ 5G for CNY CNY 4999 (roughly 59,300). The X90 Pro+ 5G, lastly, has a starting price of CNY 6499 (roughly Rs 77,100). The devices are expected to be priced slightly higher in India.
