Vivo X90 series is expected to launch soon. The company has not confirmed any details about the launch officially but the rumour mill claims that the X90 series will launch in December 2022. The debut will take place in China, followed by launches in other markets from January 2023. Vivo is expected to launch at least three smartphones in the lineup. These include the Vivo X90, X90 Pro and X90 Pro+. While we wait for some official launch details, a new report has revealed the specifications of the X90.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (via) has listed the key specs of the vanilla Vivo phone. The tipper claims that Vivo will launch the upcoming base-level flagship phone with an upgraded display, processor and fast charging. The tipster also revealed some details about the camera hardware of the X90. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X90 specifications and features leaked so far.

Vivo X90 Specifications

The Vivo X90 will sit at the bottom of the upcoming flagship series from Vivo. It will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC under the hood. The SoC’s official launch is rumoured to take place in November. It will be taking on Qualcomm’s flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. In comparison, the X80 features a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.

The X90 is also said to feature support for 120W fast charging out of the box. This is contrary to previous reports, which claimed that Vivo will launch the upcoming flagship phones with 100W fast charging. The device will pack a 4700mAh battery, according to the tipster.

In addition to this, Digital Chat Station further claimed that Vivo will launch the phone with a 1.5K resolution display. The X80, in comparison, features a Full HD+ display. The X90 should feature an AMOLED panel with an in-display fingerprint scanner and 120Hz refresh rate support.

The highlight of the Vivo X-series is always its camera. With the X90 series, the company is said to use a new 1-inch sensor in the Pro models. The vanilla X90 is said to feature a new Sony IMX8-series primary camera. Based on the recent trends, it is safe to say that the phone will feature a 50MP main camera sensor. It is also likely to feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP tele-portrait camera. That being said, we do not have the exact details. We can also expect the phone to feature the new Vivo V2 chip, which is aimed at improving the lowlight camera performance and portrait shots as well.

Digital Chat Station further claimed that the phone will come with better water and dust resistance compared to the X80. However, it will not feature an IP68 certification. More details of the X90 series should surface online soon. We will share the details as and when available.
