Vivo is gearing up for the launch of a new budget smartphone in India. The company will launch the Vivo Y01A very soon. At the time of writing this, the company has not revealed any official launch date details of the device. However, the Y01A’s launch is imminent. We say so based on the device’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification.
The listing on BIS suggests that Vivo will refresh its budget Y-series lineup soon in India. The Y01A is likely to be priced under Rs 10,000 in India. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Y01A specifications, launch timeline and other details known so far.

Vivo will launch the Y01A as its second budget smartphone in the Y01 series soon. The phone is likely to launch as a new smartphone under Rs 10,000. The Y01A has been spotted on BIS ahead of its official launch. The listing on BIS confirms the moniker of the smartphone along with its model number. The Y01A has the model number V2166.
The listing on BIS does not reveal any specifications of the phone. However, a Passionate Geekz report revealed that the phone will come with a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. The device will also sport a 6.51-inch HD+ display. Since it is a budget smartphone, the Y01A is expected to sport a waterdrop notch display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
The device will come with a plastic back. It will launch in Black and Blue colours. The report further claimed that the phone will launch with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It will come with 1GB of virtual RAM support. The device will boot Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box. It will feature an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
