Vivo is gearing up to unveil a new budget smartphone globally. The company will expand its Y-series with the launch of the Vivo Y02s in global markets. The launch of the upcoming Vivo Y-series smartphone is imminent. The company is yet to confirm the launch date. Ahead of the official launch, Vivo briefly listed the device on its global website.
The listing revealed the design and key specifications of the Y02s. The phone has a waterdrop notch at the top of the display. It sports a rectangular camera module on the back. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Y02s specifications, features and other details known so far.
Vivo Y02s Design, Specifications Officially Leaked
Vivo accidentally listed the Y02s on its official website ahead of the official unveiling. The listing has now been taken down. However, we have managed to get the key details of the phone. The Y02s will launch in two colours – Fluorite Black and Vibrant Blue. It has a polycarbonate back.
The phone also arrives in a single 3GB RAM option with 32GB of internal storage. There is a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC under the hood. The octa-core chipset is an entry-level chipset used in smartphones under Rs 8,000 in India. The Y02s also packs a 5000 mAh battery. Vivo claims that the phone can offer up to 18 hours of online HD video streaming, 7 hours of gaming or 22 hours of music playback. The phone supports 10W charging via a USB Type-C port.
The Y02s has a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD. It has a water-drop notch at the top for the front camera. The phone also supports a standard 60Hz refresh rate. For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera. The rear camera module has two large circular cutouts, one of which houses the LED flash module. The phone will feature a single 8MP primary camera sensor.
