Along with that, the company is also gearing up to launch a couple of 4G budget phones called the Vivo Y02s and Vivo Y16. These two upcoming devices have been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website in the US and the moniker of the devices has been confirmed as well along with some of the key specifications of the device. The Y02s has been spotted on Geekbench and the Vivo Y16 has also bagged the BIS certification in India. Let’s take a look at the details.
Vivo Y02s and Vivo Y16: Specifications Leaked
Based on the FCC listing, the upcoming Vivo V2203 will be marketed as Vivo Y02s and the Vivo phone with the V2204 model number will be called Vivo Y16. These two devices will come with support for GPRS, EGPRS, WCDMA, LTE, and VoLTE as the network options. In addition to this, the two Vivo Y series phones will support Bluetooth as well as dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz). Further, the smartphones will come with support for dual SIM as well.
As for the specifications, the Vivo Y02s will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device will come with an 8MP main camera and it will not feature a fingerprint scanner. On the other hand, the Vivo Y16 will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. As for the optics, the device will come with a 13MP rear camera and it will also feature a fingerprint scanner. More details of the camera and other specs are unknown at the moment. Based on the FCC database, these two devices could come with the same design and only specs could change between these Y series smartphones.
The Vivo Y02S was also spotted on the Geekbench (via Pricebaba) revealing some key features like Android 12, octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC with 2.3GHz max clock speed, and 3GB of RAM. The Vivo Y16 with V2204 has bagged the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification as well, which means the India launch could happen soon. The phones were also spotted on the NCC website revealing a 5,000mAh battery capacity on both Y02s and Y16. Lastly, the devices were spotted on IMDA as well.
