Vivo has announced two new smartphones, the Vivo Y10 and the Vivo Y10 (t1 version) in China, one of which was spotted earlier in its TENAA listing. Last year, an unknown Vivo smartphone carrying the model number V2168A appeared on TENAA. The TENAA certification revealed some key specifications of the device.
Both the new smartphones share a lot in common: similar designs, Android 11 based OriginOS, and an HD+ display among others. Let us take a closer look at the newly arrived Vivo Y10, Y10 (t1 version), its price, specifications and features.
Vivo Y10, Y10 (t1 version) Price and Availability
Despite minor variations, the Vivo Y10 and Y10 (t1 version) are both priced at RMB 1,099 (approximately Rs 12,800) for the single 4GB + 128GB storage configuration. The phone will be available for purchase in China in the colours Moonlight Night and Glacier Blue at first. The company is still yet to clarify details regarding the India launch.
Vivo Y10, Y10 (t1 version): Specifications and Features
The Vivo Y10 and Y10 (t1 version) both run on Android 11 with OriginOS on top. Both the devices feature a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 720×1,600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio and an 89 per cent screen to body ratio.
Under the hood, Y10 is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage; while the t1 version is packed with the Helio P70 chipset, along with UFS 2.1 storage with the same RAM configuration.
For photos and videos, these new smartphones have a dual rear camera setup which houses a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, along with a 2MP macro lens and a LED flash. There’s an 8MP primary selfie camera housed in the waterdrop notch to tag along.
Connectivity options on Vivo Y10, Y10 (t1 version) include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 (on the regular Y10) / Bluetooth 5.0 (on the t1 version), a micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Both the smartphones are powered by a 5,000mAh battery and come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics and security.
