Vivo launched a couple of offline-centric smartphones in India a couple of months ago to take on rivals from other brands. The Vivo Y100 and Vivo Y100A were launched in India on February 2023 and April 2023, respectively. Both these devices were identical except for the chipsets. These smartphones were priced above Rs 20,000 and performed well in the market. The company has now announced price cuts for both smartphones along with bank offers. Vivo has also announced a couple of other offers with the smartphones.
Vivo Y100, Y100A New Prices, and Bank Offers
Vivo had priced the base variant of both Vivo Y100 and Y100A at Rs 24,999. The company has announced that both these smartphones would be available with a flat Rs 1000 discount, i.e., at Rs 23,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Y100A was also launched in a higher variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage at Rs 26,999. Vivo has slashed the prices to Rs 24,999 for Y100A with 256GB of storage.
The company also reveals that it will offer a further Rs 2000 flat discount on EMI transactions using Credit cards from SBI Bank, ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank, Federal Bank, YES Bank, and AU Bank. The flat discount is also available with EMI transactions using Debit cards from Federal Bank and ICICI Bank and full swipe transactions using ICICI Credit cards. Vivo also announced that there are zero down payment options available with select finance partners.
The company also offers Vivo V-Shield Protection Plans for every purchase of Vivo Y100 and Y100A. The updated pricing of these smartphones would be available for purchase starting May 23 on Flipkart, Vivo India e-store, and across all partner retail stores. Both smartphones were equipped with a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1300 nits, and a DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Underneath, the Vivo Y100 is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor built on a 6nm process. The chipset is paired with Mali G68 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. In contrast, the Vivo Y100A is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC built on a 6nm process. The chipset is paired with an Adreno 619 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
Vivo also offers an extended RAM feature that can expand the RAM up to 8GB. Both smartphones run on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. In the optics department, it is equipped with a triple rear camera setup with a primary 64MP sensor. The sensor is paired with two 2MP sensors which are macro and depth, respectively.
The display has a water drop notch to house the 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Vivo Y100 and Y100 are backed by a 4500mAh battery which supports 44W fast charging tech.
