Vivo is gearing up to launch a new Y-series smartphone in India. The company has launched multiple smartphones under different price brackets already. The Y73 was Vivo’s most recent Y-series device in India. Another smartphone that could soon launch in the country under the series is the Y12a. Vivo is yet to make an official announcement on the launch. However, MySmartPrice has exclusive inputs to share about the upcoming Vivo smartphone. Our source, who requested anonymity, has shared the image of the retail box and complete specifications of the device. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Y12a specifications, features, and other details.
Vivo Y12a launch soon
Vivo could launch the Y12a soon in Asian markets. Ahead of the launch, the device’s key specifications have leaked online. MySmartPrice has managed to get the device’s specifications ahead of the launch. Our source also shared an image, revealing the device’s retail box while confirming the moniker of the device.
The smartphone will sport a 6.51-inch IPS LCD. It will have a 720p HD+ display. Under the hood, the phone will draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC. It will come in a single 3GB RAM variant with 32GB of internal storage. The company is likely to offer an option to expand storage via a microSD card.
Like many budget smartphones, the Y12a will pack a massive 5000 mAh battery. It will come with 10W charging support. In terms of optics, the upcoming Vivo smartphone will have a dual-camera setup on the back. There is a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, users will get an 8MP front camera on the Y12a. The device will run Android 11 out of the box. Like most Vivo smartphones, this device will also run with a layer of FuntouchOS 11 on top of the Android mobile operating system.
In case you did not notice, the specs are similar to the Y12s 2021 launched in Vietnam. The smartphone has a water-drop notch display and comes in Black and Blue colour options. Do not confuse this with the Y12s available in India, which recently got a price hike. The India model features a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC under the hood. The specs of the device are more or less the same.
