Vivo is planning to expand its Y-series smartphone lineup in India very soon. According to recent reports, the company might launch the Y12 and Y15 smartphones in the country before the end of this month. Ahead of its imminent launch, we have obtained press renders as well as key specifications of the upcoming Vivo Y15.

As you can see in the renders below, the Vivo Y15 will sport a waterdrop notch screen and a gradient design at the back. It can also be seen quite clearly that the Y-series smartphone features a triple-camera setup as well as a fingerprint sensor at the rear. The smartphone will be available in two color options at launch: Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red. In terms of memory, the Y15 will come in a single configuration with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. As far as the price is concerned, a trusted source tells us the Y15 could be priced at INR 14,990.
Moving on to the key specifications, the Vivo Y15 will sport a 6.35-inch sized Halo FullView IPS LCD display featuring 720 x 1544 pixels HD+ resolution and an 89% screen-to-body ratio. It will have a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor running under its hood, clubbed with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For further storage expansion, the smartphone will include a dedicated microSD card slot as well.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y15 will have a 13MP + 8MP + 2MP triple-camera setup on the back and a 16MP selfie camera on the front. Like Vivo’s other recent budget Android smartphones, the Y15 will offer several AI-powered features such as AI Beauty, AI super wide angle, and a portrait mode. Fueling the internals of the budget Android smartphone will be a 5000mAh capacity non-removable battery. Connectivity features supported by the smartphone include GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. As far as the software is concerned, Vivo Y15 will run on Pie-based Funtouch OS 9 with an Ultra-Game mode feature for a more enjoyable gaming experience.
