Vivo launched the Vivo Y19 smartphone a week ago in Thailand. Now, the company is all geared up to launch the device in India. The device will feature a big 5,000mAh battery and will be powered with a MediaTek Helio P65 chipset. Furthermore, the Vivo Y19 will replace its predecessor, the Vivo Y17 as the latter is reportedly going to be discontinued now.

Vivo Y19 – alleged price, specifications, and features

As per the source, the Vivo Y19 will be priced somewhere around INR 20,000 in India.

Moving on to the specifications of the device, the Vivo Y19 will have a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch. The display gives out a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a pixel density of 395 ppi.

Powering the Vivo Y19 will be an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 SoC which will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Vivo Y19 will run on Android 9 Pie out of the box with the company’s proprietary FunTouch OS 9 skin on top of it.

As far as the cameras of the device are concerned, the Vivo Y19 will feature a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 16MP with  f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor. Embedded within the waterdrop notch will be a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Coming to the battery of the device, the Vivo Y19 will be fueled with a massive 5,000mAh battery. To make things even better, the Vivo Y19 comes with support for fast charging.

The Vivo Y19 will utilize a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as a facial unlock mechanism as far as the biometrics are concerned.

Judging by the specifications, the Vivo Y19 looks more or less like a rebranded variant of the previously launched Vivo U3. The only difference between the two devices is that the Vivo U3 makes use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset whereas the Vivo Y19 relies on the Helio P65 chipset instead.

As said, the Vivo Y19 is an iterative upgrade over the Vivo Y17. Just to refresh your memory about the Vivo Y17, the device is powered with a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. At the back, the Vivo Y17 has a triple rear camera setup (13MP + 8MP + 2MP) and a fingerprint scanner. The front camera is a 20MP shooter. The Vivo Y17 also features a 5,000mAh battery with 18W Dual-Engine fast charging. As far as the OS is concerned, we get Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS on top with the Vivo Y17.

While the price of the Vivo Y17 is kept at somewhere around INR 14,000, the Vivo Y19 is turning out to be on a slightly expensive side as the same is reported to be priced at around INR 20,000.

As of now, this is all we know about the Vivo Y19, but we are sure to receive further intel on the same in the coming days.
