While Vivo had confirmed that the phone will be sold on its E-Storeand retail stores in Diamond Glow and Midnight Blue colours. The device is set to go for first sale on January 14.
Vivo Y21e Specifications and Features
Further, the Vivo Y21e is aimed at budget users and has 3GB of RAM, with 64GB storage inside. The company also said that the phone will have 0.5GB Extended RAM, which should mean that half a gigabyte of the internal storage is reserved for virtual memory, which is used to store temporary files and augment the overall RAM capacity of a phone. It’s unclear how much of a difference having 0.5GB of RAM will help performance though.
In addition, the Vivo Y21e has a 6.51 inch HD+ Halo Full View in-cell display, and the 5000mAh battery inside supports 18W fast charging. It also offers reverse charging and runs on FunTouch OS 12, the company’s own operating system, which also includes a software feature called MultiTurbo 5.0 that is meant to enhance the phone’s overall performance.
Moving to the design, the Vivo Y21e is 8mm thick and has a 2.5D flat frame. It weighs 182 grams overall, has a 13MP camera on the back along with a 2MP macro sensor. The front camera, on the other hand, has 8MP resolution. The rear camera supports HDR resolution and has a personalised portrait mode.
The company also said that the Vivo Y21e will be made in India, at the company’s factory in Greater Noida in the National Capital Region.
