Vivo appears to be getting ready to release a Y-series smartphone in India very soon. The latest Vivo phone follows the Vivo Y33T, which was released last week and has similar specifications. 91Mobiles has obtained the specifications and renderings of the Vivo Y21e, courtesy of tipster Ishan Agarwal, ahead of the formal announcement.

Key specifications of the device include a 13MP primary camera, Snapdragon 680 SoC, and Android 12 OS. Let’s take a closer look at the Vivo Y21e, its specifications, features and design.

The Vivo Y21e is said to boot on Android with FunTouch OS 12 on top and features a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone has a centre-aligned waterdrop notch housing the selfie snapper and a sizeable bottom bezel. The phone will be available in two colours: White and Blue.

On the right spine, there’s the volume up and down buttons, and a power button embedded with a fingerprint sensor. On the rear, there’s a large rectangular module housing dual two cameras and an LED flash. The USB Type-C connector for charging and data transfer, a speaker grille, the main microphone, as well as the 3.5mm audio jack, can all be found at the bottom of the device.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For photos and videos, the Vivo Y21e is said to arrive with a 13-megapixel primary with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary lens with an f/2.4 aperture on the rear. On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calls.

The phone might be fueled by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The phone measures 164.2×76×8mm in dimensions and weighs 182 grams. The pricing information remains a mystery for now.
