Vivo has launched the Vivo Y33s in India. The smartphone is the latest mid-ranger from the OEM, and aims to grab eyeballs with its Super Night algorithm powering the rear camera experience. The device also features an extended memory feature, which adds up to 4GB of virtual memory shared from the storage space, in order to augment the overall performance of the smartphone. The Y33s joins Vivo’s portfolio in the mid-range segment, and is powered by the MediaTek computing platform.
Vivo Y33s: price and availability
The Vivo Y33s is priced at Rs 17,990 and is being introduced in a single variant featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Y33s is being offered in two colour variants Midday Dream and Mirror Black. It will be available starting today across third party retail stores, as well as online across the Vivo store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm and Tata Cliq.
The Vivo Y33s is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. It features 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and has a 6.58-inch full HD display without any enhanced refresh rate in hand. The smartphone measures 8mm in thickness, and weighs 182g. The display features a special ‘Eye Protection Mode’ that adds a blue light filter to reduce harsh light emission from the display. It also has a side button mounted physical fingerprint sensor, as well as face unlock via the front camera.
In terms of cameras, the Vivo Y33s features a 50MP + 2MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup, with Vivo’s Super Night algorithm. The latter offers low light noise reduction via multi-frame combination technique, and also has a software based bokeh photo mode for background blurs. To the front, it features a 16MP camera placed in a drop notch at the front. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, and in terms of connectivity, comes with dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 and a USB-C port.
