Vivo Y50: Key Specifications and Price Revealed Ahead of Launch
Vivo Cambodia has started teasing the Vivo Y50 smartphone via a series of promotional banners. The promotional posters reveal pretty much everything we need to know about the Vivo Y50.
As seen in the first promotional poster, the Vivo Y50 will come in two color variants – Black and Sky Blue (gradient). The device will feature a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, which will be located in the top left corner of the device’s display. The Vivo Y50 is notably the first-ever Vivo Y-series handset to feature a punch-hole selfie snapper. The promotional poster also talks about the screen size of the Vivo Y50 – it will boast a 6.53-inch Full HD+ Ultra O screen.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y50 will be equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which will be paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The poster fails to reveal as to whether or not there will be scope for further expansion. Nevertheless, we now know the pricing of the 8GB/128GB memory variant of the Vivo Y50. The device will be priced at $249, which roughly translates to somewhere around Rs 19,030.
As far as the battery of the device is concerned, the Vivo Y50 will sport a large 5,000mAh battery. We are not entirely sure as to whether or not the device will feature fast charging. On the software side of things, the Vivo Y50 will ship with the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with FunTouch OS baked on top.
Coming to the cameras of the device, the Vivo Y50 will feature a quadruple rear camera setup, which will include a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera (4cm), an 8MP super wide-angle camera (120-degree FOV), and a 2MP portrait camera. Right underneath the vertically-aligned cameras, there is an LED flash. The resolution of the front camera is unknown as of now, but we can expect it to be an 8MP selfie shooter. There’s also a physical rear-mounted fingerprint scanner installed at the rear of the device. To learn more about Vivo Y50, you can head to our previous coverage for the same.
