Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is reportedly going to announce two new Y-series devices in India which will be called the Vivo Y50 and Y30. The devices do not have a fixed launch date, but they are tipped to be announced by the next week. The report comes from 91mobiles who have been provided with retail posters of both the devices with launch offers, specs, design elements, and also the price tag of the Y50.
Vivo Y50 and Y30: Expected specs and price
The report states that the Vivo Y50 will be priced somewhere around Rs 18,000 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The Y30’s price is unclear but it should be around Rs 15,000. The launch offers seen on the poster reveal that the Y50 will have a 5 percent cashback for users who purchase the device using an HDFC or ICICI credit card.
As for the specs, the Vivo Y30 will feature a 6.3-inch HD+ display with a punch-hole on the top-left for housing the selfie shooter. The device is touted to have a 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has the Helio P35 chipset and 4GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. A quad-camera setup flanks the back of the device with a 13MP primary shooter supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 5W charging support.
The Vivo Y50 looks exactly like the Y30 from the outside with the 6.53-inch FHD+ display, punch-hole camera, and about the same screen-to-body ratio. Inside the phone is a Snapdragon 665 SoC which is supported by up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Y50 also has the same quad-camera setup as the Y30 and the same resolution selfie shooter in the front. The phone will boot Android 10-based FunTouchOS UI and it will be powered by the same 5,000mAh battery albeit with a faster 15W charging solution. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS.
