Vivo has been launching quite a few Y-series smartphones in India and other markets. The company recently launched the Y53s in Vietnam. The smartphone is about the hit the store shelves in India. Vivo is gearing up to launch the Y53s in India. The device will come with 4G network support and is expected to be priced at around Rs 20,000. According to a Moneycontrol report, Vivo will launch the new smartphone in India on August 9. The company has not made any official announcement around the same. Vivo is expected to launch the Y53s 4G soon in India. According to a report, the budget smartphone will launch in India on August 9. The Moneycontrol report further claims that the device will pack a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The device launched in Vietnam comes with 33W fast charging support. It further reveals that the phone will sport a triple-camera setup on the back. It will have a 64MP primary camera sensor. The model launched in Vietnam has two 2MP sensors for shooting macro photos and depth sensing.
In India, the phone will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In addition, the device will also support 3GB of Extended RAM, which will use the phone’s internal memory as a virtual RAM when needed.
The device was previously rumoured to launch for Rs 22,990 (Rs 19,490 MOP) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. It will come in Deep Sea Blue/Fantastic Rainbow colour options.
The Vivo phone sports a 6.58-inch IPS Full HD+ LCD display. It has a waterdrop notch on top for the 16MP front camera. The device has a 60Hz display. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
