Vivo has added a new smartphone to its Y-series in India. The company launched the Vivo Y73 (2021) today in the country. It is a 4G smartphone that is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor. This is the same processor that powers other popular mid-range devices such as Redmi Note 10S, Realme 8, and Infinix Note 10 Pro. Other highlights of the Vivo Y73 include a 64MP camera setup, a 4,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging, and a unique pattern on the back panel. In terms of specifications, and overall design, the Vivo Y73 2021 looks very similar to the Vivo V21e that launched a couple of months back in Malaysia. The Vivo Y73 retails only in one configuration – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, and is priced at Rs. 20,990. The smartphone is already on sale exclusively via flipkart.com and other offline stores. Vivo is also offering one-time free screen replacement, and up to Rs. 1000 discount (for HDFC Bank, and Kotak Bank customers) on every purchase.

The latest Vivo Y series smartphone gets a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display panel with a 2400×1080 pixel resolution, and 408PPI pixel density. It is a standard 60Hz, 20:9 aspect ratio panel that has HDR10, and Widevine L1 certifications. The display also houses a waterdrop notch, and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo Y73 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor, that is built on a 12nm fabrication process. It comes with an integrated Mali-G76 GPU that takes care of the graphic duties. The handset pack 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. The storage can be further expanded as the device has a dedicated micro-SD card slot. It boots FunTouchOS 11.1, based on Android 11.

The latest Vivo smartphone offers a 64MP triple-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The primary 64MP sensor has an f/1.79 aperture and gets accompanied by a 2MP Macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. There is also a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture on the back. For the selfies and video calls, the handset will offer a 16MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Vivo Y73 packs a 4,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. The handset also has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G, Dual Sim, 2.4/5GHz WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0. The handset measures 161.24×74.37×7.38mm, and weighs just 170 grams.
