Vivo has unveiled a new Y-series smartphone. The company has launched multiple smartphones in the Y-series, some of which have been launched in India. The latest one in the Vivo Y-series is the Y73t. The phone is a budget smartphone offering and is priced at around Rs 15,000 for the base model. Currently, the Y73t is available only in China. However, we can expect the phone to debut in global markets later this year.

The Y73t sports a polycarbonate back panel and comes in three colours. It also sports a water-drop notch at the top of the display. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Y73t price, specifications and other details.

The Vivo Y73t has been launched in China in three colours – Fog Blue, Autumn and Black. It is also available in multiple storage options. The base model has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is priced at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs 15,900). There is also an 8GB + 256GB variant, which is priced at CNY 1599 (roughly Rs 18,000). The top storage option with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1799 (roughly Rs 20,400).

In terms of specifications, the Y73t has a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. This makes the phone 5G ready. The device also packs a beefy 6000mAh battery under the hood. It supports 44W fast charging out of the box. 

There is a dual rear camera setup. The phone features a 50MP main camera sensor and a 2MP macro camera sensor. There is also an 8MP front camera sensor for selfies and video calls.

The front camera is placed inside the waterdrop notch of the 6.58-inch display. Vivo has opted for an IPS LCD panel, which offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 90.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The phone supports a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

There is support for storage expansion up to 1TB via a microSD card. The phone weighs about 201 grams and is 9.17mm thick. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone runs Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean out of the box.
