Vivo is gearing up to expand its Y-series lineup. The company is expected to launch yet another mid-range smartphone under the Y-series in China, which is likely to be called the Y76s. The company is yet to confirm the official launch details of the device. While we wait for that, some key details of the device have surfaced on the web. The Vivo Y76s is listed on the China Telecom website. It not only confirms the specifications but also reveals the device’s design. The Y76s has a rectangular camera module on the back. Vivo Y76s specs and price

As per the China Telecom listing (via Playfuldroid), the Vivo Y76s will launch in two storage options. The base variant will have 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. It will be priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 23,200). There will also be an 8GB + 256GB variant, which is likely to launch in China for CNY 2199 (roughly Rs 25,500). It will launch in Starry Night Black, Galaxy Blue, and Star Diamond White colours.

Specifications and features

The Y76s will sport a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with a 1080 x 2400 resolution. The screen has a tiny waterdrop notch on top for the front camera. Under the hood, the phone draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. It comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone will also have a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It will pack a 4,005 mAh battery, which is likely to support fast charging. At the bottom edge of the device is a USB Type-C port.

On the back, the rectangular camera module houses a dual-camera setup. It has a 50MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP secondary camera, which is likely for macro photography. For selfies, there is an 8MP front camera sensor housed inside the water-drop notch. The device runs Android 11 out of the box. It is likely to have a layer of Origin OS 1.0 for the Chinese market on top of Android.
