Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone. The company has launched the Vivo Y76s (t1 version) in China. The device has been launched as a new variant of the Y76s, which was launched late last year in China. The t1 version has the same design as the Y76s but packs different hardware. The phone has a curved back and frame. It also packs a different processor under the hood.
The Y76s (t1 version) has been launched in China in three colour options. The phone has also been launched with a single storage configuration. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Y76s (t1 version) price, specifications and other details.
Vivo Y76s (t1 Version) Price and Specifications
The Vivo Y76s (t1 version) has been launched in China with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is priced at CNY 1899 (roughly Rs 21,800). The device has been launched in Star Diamond White, Galaxy White, and Starry Night Black colours.
In terms of specifications, the phone has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD. The display has a Full HD+ resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels. The screen supports a standard 60Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. There is a tiny waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera.
Since the phone uses an LCD, the Y76s (t1 version) features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It also comes with support for AI face unlock. The plastic back houses a rectangular camera module. It sports a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main camera sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies, the phone has an 8MP front camera sensor.
Under the hood, the phone has a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. In comparison, the Y76s from last year comes with a Dimensity 810 SoC. So, the t1 version is certainly a downgrade in terms of performance. The phone, however, gets more RAM under the hood. The t1 version packs 12GB of RAM, compared to 8GB in last year’s model. It also offers 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can expand the storage further with the help of a microSD card.
The device packs a 4100mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging out of the box. It weighs about 175 grams and measures 163.84 x 75.00 x 7.79 mm. Lastly, the phone runs Android 12 out of the box. It has a layer of Funtouch OS 12 on top.
Vivo has not confirmed any details about the launch of the t1 version in India. The device, if it arrives in India, might not be the best offering as there are phones from other brands that offer better value for money. What are your thoughts on the y76s (t1 version)?
