A few days back, Vivo’s upcoming Y78 series smartphone, the Vivo Y78+ 5G made an appearance on the 3C certification website. Additionally, the device received the TENAA certification recently. The smartphone also was also spotted on Geekbench a couple of days back. The benchmark listing revealed the hardware specifications of the handset. Also, the phone’s design was revealed by a leaked poster last week. Now, in a recent development, the China Telecom listing has revealed the complete specifications and pricing of the Vivo Y78+ 5G ahead of the official launch.
Vivo Y78+ 5G Detailed Specifications Revealed
As per the specifications disclosed by China Telecom, the upcoming Vivo Y78+ 5G will arrive with a 6.78-inch OLED display that will have a Full HD+ resolution. The device will have a curved edge display and a 120Hz refresh rate. As per the recent Geekbench test result, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 695 SoC. The handset will pack up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the software front, the smartphone will run Android 13 OS out of the box with Funtouch OS 13 skin on top.
The handset will feature a dual-camera setup. The rear-facing camera module will consist of a 50MP primary camera with OIS support and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front-facing camera on the handset will be of 8MP. A 4,500mAh battery will be equipped with the device which will support 48W fast charging. Dimensions-wise, the phone will measure 162.24 x 74.79 x 7.89mm and weighs 177 grams.

Vivo Y78+ 5G Pricing, Release Date (Expected)
As per the China Telecom listing, the Vivo Y78+ 5G will launch in China on April 26th. The device is expected to arrive in Moon Shadow Black, Warm Sun Gold, and Sky Blue colour options. As for the pricing, the base Vivo Y78+ model with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage will cost CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 21,500). The mid-tier variant will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This model will be priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 26,250). The top-end model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is expected to retail for CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs 27,450). Do note that this is the rumoured pricing of the device, and the actual retail price of the device might differ.
