Vivo Y78 5G has been launched in Singapore to make its global debut. Notably, Vivo launched Y78 5G in China earlier this month. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC and a 6.64-inch 120Hz display. On the other hand, the global variant that went official in Singapore comes with a Snapdragon 695 SoC and a 6.78-inch 120Hz display. Vivo Y78 5G Price, Availability

Vivo has yet to announce the availability and pricing of the new Y78 5G. However, the phone is expected to hit the shelves soon, and we will get to know the pricing in the coming days. The global model in Singapore is being offered in Dreamy Gold and Flare Black colours. Notably, in China, the smartphone is available in Black, Jade Porcelain Blue, and Phoenix Feather Gold colourways.

The latest Vivo Y78 5G is equipped with a curved 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ screen resolution, and 20:9 aspect ratio. For security, there’s an in-display fingerprint scanner. The plastic-clad smartphone measures 164.3 x 74.8 x 7.9mm and weighs 177g. The smartphone also features an IP54 ingress protection rating, which means it can withstand splashes of water and dust.

As for the performance, the new Vivo Y78 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 processor. The three-year-old chipset is not the best around, but Vivo has backed it with 8GB RAM and 8GB virtual RAM. In the software department, the new Vivo Y78 5G boots the Android 13-based FuntouchOS 13 interface.

Coming to the cameras, the global Vivo Y78 5G features a triple camera setup on the rear panel. The setup comprises a 64MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. A pair of 2MP cameras – macro and depth lenses are accompanying the primary sensor. On the front, the new launch flaunts a 16MP selfie camera.

The Vivo Y78 5G global variant is powered by a beefy 5,000mAh battery. The battery comes with support for 44W fast charging. Vivo provides a 44W fast charger with the bundle. Connectivity-wise, the Vivo Y78 offers Dual SIM standby with 5G and 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, eSIM support, GPS, NFC, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.
