It is also likely to debut in some markets as the Y78m 5G. The company has not confirmed any details about the same yet. However, the launch of the Y78 seems imminent. The smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench website ahead of its official launch.

The Vivo Y78/ Y78m is expected to launch soon. Ahead of the official launch, the device has been spotted on the Geekbench website. It has the model number V2278A. The listing reveals that the upcoming Vivo Y-series smartphone draws power from an octa-core SoC with a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz. It also has six cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The SoC codenamed k6855v1_64 features a PowerVR B-Series BXM-8-256 GPU as well.
Based on this, it is likely that the Y78/ Y78m will launch with a MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC, which is also found in the likes of the Moto G73 5G, Vivo Y77 5G, etc. It is likely that the same SoC launches as the Dimensity 7020 SoC as MediaTek has been working on rebranding its mobile SoC portfolio.

The leaked live images revealed that the phone has two large circular cutouts for the triple-camera setup. These sensors and the LED flash module sit on a rectangular camera module design.
