In line with the previous rumors, Vivo has launched the Vivo Y91i smartphone in India. Although an official press release is yet to arrive concerning the launch, MaheshTelecom on Twitter has revealed the price of the device. According to his tweet, the Vivo Y91i price in India starts at INR 7,990. As for the specs, we already have a fair idea about what the phone packs. Let’s check out all the details.

Vivo Y91i Price in India

The tweet from MaheshTelecom revealed that the 2GB RAM+16GB Storage variant of the Vivo Y91i is priced at INR 7,990 while the 2GB RAM+32GB Storage model price in India is INR 8,490. This makes the Vivo Y91i one of the cheapest offerings from the brand in India. It is available in Black, Blue, and Red color options.


As for the specs of the phone, we already know the confirmed specs of the phone as it is already available in select regions. The Vivo Y91i is the successor to the Vivo Y81i that debuted last year. Although a successor to the Y81i, the Y91i is a downgraded version of the Vivo Y91 smartphone.

The Vivo Y91i features a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with an almost bezel-less design and a teardrop notch on top housing the selfie camera. It must be noted that the screen does not come with any protection layer, which means that users will have to spend extra money to get a screen protector to shield it against drops and scratches. The Glass back panel with gradient design gives the phone a premium outlook.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y91i is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. On the software front, the Y91i ships with Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.5. The phone packs a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup with f/2.2 aperture and f/2.4 aperture, respectively. There is an 8MP selfie shooter on the front, which also aids the software-backed Face Unlock feature.

A 4030mAh battery backs the smartphone. Connectivity support on the Y91i includes dual-SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, microUSB port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS (with GLONASS and BeiDou).

Going by the specs and features on the Y91i, it seems to be a good buy for the ones who want an affordable phone with dual-camera setup and a decent battery. At its pricing, the Y91i does pack some punch. However, by stretching their budget by another thousand, buyers can find better alternatives for the Y91i.
