Earlier this month, a couple of new Vivo smartphones were spotted on the Chinese 3C verification website. These devices carried the model number V1818A and V1818T. The site didn’t really reveal a lot of details about these phones, but a new leak has shed some light on it. As per the leak, these new devices are variants of the Vivo Y93. This is a new budget smartphone from Vivo, which should be launched very soon. It will be the first device in the world to use the new Snapdragon 439 chipset.

Vivo Y93 Leaked Specifications
The Vivo Y93 seems like a successor to the Vivo Y83, which was launched earlier this year. It features a better processor, and other improved features. Vivo is also set to launch another new phone called the Vivo Y95. The company sure has plenty of devices under its belt. Like we mentioned earlier, the new leak has revealed all the important details about the Y93 smartphone.
This is a budget mid-range offering, which will be the first smartphone to be equipped with the octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor. This chipset comes with eight Cortex-A53 cores that are clocked at 1.95GHz and the Adreno 505 GPU. The phone will have a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a waterdrop notch and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It also features a faster LTE X6 Modem. The phone will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. It will also have a dual-rear camera setup with a primary 13MP and a secondary 2MP sensor. On the front, the Y93 will feature an 8MP camera. It is said to run Android 8.1 OS with FunTouch OS 4.0 on top. A 3935mAh battery will keep the lights on and also support fast charging.
The leaked images don’t really show a fingerprint sensor at the back, which could mean that it either lacks one, or has an in-display sensor. The Vivo Y83 had the fingerprint sensor at the back, and had a single rear camera. Thus, the new Vivo Y93 sure has all the markings of a successor.
Vivo Y93 Leaked Price and Launch Date
We also have the pricing for the phone in China. Once launched, it will cost 1498 yuan, which is about INR 15,000. It will be sold in two color options; Zixia Red, and Starry Night Black. We are not sure if the phone will be sold in India, but since the Y83 is available here, there are chances that we might get this at a later date.
According to the leak, Vivo will be launching this phone on November 15. Take this with a grain of salt, as nothing is confirmed as of yet. We will have to wait till Vivo gives out an official confirmation. The Vivo Y93 will compete against phones from Xiaomi, Nokia, and Oppo.
Vivo is a big smartphone name in the country, and we definitely expect this new device to come to India. The Chinese company has been doing quite well in India, but is still lagging behind Xiaomi. It has several budget and mid-range smartphones in its arsenal and keeps bringing out new ones, but Xiaomi seems to offer better value for money. Vivo was the first smartphone company to bring the in-display fingerprint technology to the world.
