Vivo launched an interesting new series of smartphones earlier this year. The Vivo Z Series sits between its flagship X Series and the midrange Y Series. It recently launched the Vivo Z3i in China, which is a rebranded V11i. Now the company is now launching the Vivo Z3.
Vivo recently confirmed the launch date for the Z3, and an event has been scheduled to take place today. Several teasers and leaked images about the Vivo Z3 have surfaced in the past few weeks. Hence there’s ample information about the Android smartphone. Still, Vivo could offer other critical details about the Vivo Z3 such as price, availability, launch in international markets, availability in India, etc.
Vivo Z3 Launch Live Streaming:
Vivo recently posted a teaser for the Vivo Z3, which confirmed some specifications of the device. The teaser had also revealed the launch date for the phone. Interestingly, Vivo has been sending a miniature Lego version of the 1968 Ford Mustang GT along with the media invites. Vivo will launch the Vivo Z3 in China today. Vivo has setup a dedicated landing page for the Vivo Z3. It is quite likely the company may broadcast the launch on that page. But there is no exact time mentioned in the website.
Vivo Z3 Specifications
The Vivo Z3 is a capable mid-range smartphone. The teaser released recently indicates the presence of the Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, which needless to say, is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 660. The phone could feature up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The poster mentions the Vivo handset will sport a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a water-drop notch to maximize screen estate.
Interestingly, Vivo is offering Dual-Turbo technology, which the company claims, improves the performance and graphics of the phone. The technology will apparently boost performance of both apps and games twice as much. The tech seems quite similar to Huawei’s GPU Turbo and Oppo’s HyperBoost Acceleration Engine.
There’s no confirmed information about the camera sensors, but the posters reveal vertically stacked dual camera setup on the back, and a single front camera. It will also have a decent battery, around 3,300mAh, which will support fast charging. The phone will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, with the FunTouch OS 4.0 UI on top. A rear-mounted fingerprint indicates the smartphone will not have the in-display scanner.
Vivo Z3 Price, Availability
The poster promoting the Vivo Z3 mentions the 4GB RAM/64GB Storage variant of the phone will cost Rs. 17,020, the 6GB/64GB model will be pitched at Rs. 20,209, and 6GB/128GB variant will retail for Rs. 24,469.
Incidentally, Vivo has not confirmed the international availability of the smartphone. However, we expect it could launch soon in India. The Vivo smartphone will compete with other Snapdragon 710-fueled midrangers such as the Nokia 7.1 Plus and OPPO R17 Pro.
