Vodafone Idea (Vi) launches Rs 195, Rs 319 Recharge Plans with 31 Days Validity Along with Cheaper Rs 98 Plan

Vi, short for Vodafone Idea, has launched three new prepaid recharge plans for its subscribers - Rs 98, Rs 195, and Rs 319 are now available for recharge.

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced a bunch of new recharge plans for its subscribers in India. The telecom company announced two new prepaid recharge packs – Rs 195 and Rs 319 which offer a service validity of 31 days. There’s also a cheaper Rs 98 recharge plan.

The two new recharge plans from Vi that offer 31 days validity will join the existing Rs 327 recharge pack that offers 30 days validity along with the Rs 337 pack that offers 31 days validity.

Jio, back in March, created a buzz in the telecom sector by launching monthly validity recharge plans. The Rs 259 Jio prepaid plan offered a month-long validity putting pressure on Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) to launch month-long validity plans. Jio followed up with another recharge pack with 30 days validity. Soon after, Airtel announced Rs 296 and Rs 319 plans with 30 days validity. Similarly, Vi came with its Rs 327 and Rs 337 plans. Let’s first see what the new Vi plans offer.

Vi Rs 195 and Rs 319 recharge plans: What they offer

Starting with the Rs 195 recharge plan, the 31 days’ service validity is the biggest USP of this recharge plan, wherein subscribers will get 2GB of data for the entire month and a 300 SMS quota for the entire pack duration. The Rs 195 pack offers unlimited calls. VI notes that data tariff post-quota completion will be charged at 50p per MB. While post SMS quota charging will be done as Re 1 per SMS for local while Re 1.5 per SMS for STD. The new Rs 195 Vi plan is primarily for those who make a lot of calls, while data and SMS aren’t a big ask.

Vi’s Rs 319 recharge plan also offers 31 days of validity. Other benefits remain standard like truly unlimited for national calls, 2GB per day data, while 100 SMS per day. The pack also comes with additional benefits like Binge All Night, wherein subscribers can surf and stream starting midnight to 6 am without data pack deduction. Additionally, the pack also brings weekend data rollover benefits along with data delights wherein subscribers can get up to 2GB of backup data every month at no extra cost.

Vi Rs 98 prepaid recharge pack: What it offers

Vodafone Idea will offer unlimited calls with a Rs 98 recharge pack with 200MB of data while offering a service validity of 15 days. It’s worth pointing out that there are no outgoing SMS messages bundled in this plan.

Notably, the Rs 98 recharge pack is available in select circles like Maharashtra, while Delhi NCR subscribers don’t get the new plan. The Delhi NCR consumers will have to opt for the Rs 109 pack that offers 15 days validity, no outgoing message, and truly unlimited calls.

We also noticed that Vi has listed Rs 98 and Rs 109 with almost similar benefits, which may mean that the Rs 98 plan might be an incorrect listing from the company. So please check before recharging whether the Rs 98 plan is available in your circle.
