7 Ways to Make Your Phone Battery Last Longer

Team MSP

Here are 7 tips you can follow that can keep your phone's battery working in top form for as long as possible:

1. Discharging

Stressing out your lithium-ion battery reduces its longevity. Discharging our battery to 60% rather than 0% can increase the longevity of your battery.

2. Location Services

A lot of apps these days track your phone’s location to support their services, hence it’s best to only let these apps access your location services only when you’re using the app.

3. Power Saving Mode

Latency was the problem that troubled us the most. It was a disaster when we tried to play F1 2021 while connected via HDMI to a gaming laptop.

4. Dark Mode

If your phone has an AMOLED screen, switching to a dark theme will significantly increase battery life.

5. Background Data Access

You may disable cellular data access for apps that you believe should not utilise it in the background. As a result, they are unable to load new files or work in the background and this the battery is conserved.

6. Google Assistant

It's wise to disable Google Assistant if you don't rely on it heavily. It is listening for the wake command and hence consumes a lot of battery power.

7. Screen Timeout

When it comes to your phone's screen, it's best to leave it turned off when not in use. You may change the screen timeout settings to save battery.
