The OPPO Reno 8 5G's AMOLED display has good colours and contrast. Even under the 'Natural' video colour preset, it favours reds significantly.
Display
The rear panel has a rough surface that is pleasant to the touch. Another advantage is that it does not collect smudges or dust. A protrusion makes the device wobble when kept on a flat surface.
Rear Panel
The gaming experience on the OPPO Reno 8 5G was satisfactory, and gamers should be able to spend hours tapping away. During our gaming sessions, the device hardly warmed up.
Gaming
Photos shot during the day have good details and a nice dynamic range. Images featured high contrast and were largely neutral, with a little focus on reds.
Camera
Selfies captured were crisp and natural-looking overall. Selfies shot against the light produced photographs with overexposed backgrounds and odd yellow colour.
Selfies
We got more over seven hours of screen time out of the smartphone; the 80W charger charges the Reno 8 5G from dead to 100% in 34 minutes, which is insanely fast.
Charging
The Reno 8 5G is a good gadget that works well and is comparable to the competition. The battery life and bundled fast charger round out the package.
