Samsung has launched a bunch of products at their Galaxy Unpacked event including new foldable phones, Galaxy phones and galaxy buds. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3

Launched 

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 which is their most premium foldable smartphone offering for 2021.

The Z Fold 3 sports a 7.6-inch foldable display with a resolution of 2208 x 1768 pixels. The Infinity Flex display has a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus and 120Hz refresh rate support.

On the outside, Fold 3 has a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2260 x 832 pixels and 387 PPI.

The Fold 3 draws power from a 5nm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It is paired with up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

It has a triple-camera setup on the back. There is a 12MP wide camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. It is accompanied by a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.

The foldable display houses a 4MP under-screen camera with an aperture of f/1.8. On the outside, it has a hole-punch cutout for the 10MP f/2.2 front camera.

The foldable phone packs a 4,400 mAh battery and comes with 25W fast charging support.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with support for Samsung’s S Pen Pro. It boots Android 11-based OneUI 3 out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 starts at $1799.99 in the US which is roughly Rs 1,34,000 in India. It is available in two different variants: 256GB and 512GB. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Launched 

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 3 at Unpacked 2021 along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The Z Flip 3 sports a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels. The display has a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus and a 120Hz refresh rate support.

It has a 1.9-inch cover display with a 260 x 512 pixels resolution.

The Flip 3 draws power from a 5nm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It is paired with up to 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.

It has a dual-camera setup on the back. There is a 12MP primary camera that supports OIS. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view.

The phone has a 10MP front camera inside the hole punch cutout

The flippable phone packs a 3,300 mAh battery and comes with 15W charging support.

The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports face unlock as well. It comes with stereo speakers and IPX8 certification for water resistance.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 starts at $999.99 in the US which is roughly Rs 74,500 in India. It is available in two different variants: 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 128GB.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2

Launched 

The Galaxy Buds2 comes with a uniform glossy texture and has an in-ear design. It comes with silicone ear-tips and the charging case has a dual-tone finish.

Each earbud has dynamic 2-way speakers and comes with support for Active Noise Cancellation. Samsung’s new earbuds also support three different levels of Ambient sound.

In terms of battery life, the Buds2 is claimed to offer up to five hours of juice on a single charge with ANC on. The charging case offers an additional 15 hours worth of battery life.

The Galaxy Buds 2 starts at USD 149,99 which is roughly Rs 11,200. It comes in four colours – White, Graphite, Olive and Lavender.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic

Launched 

The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in 40mm and 44mm screen sizes. The 40mm variant has a 1.19-inch display with a 396 x 396 resolution whereas the 44mm variant sports a 1.36-inch display with a 450 x 450 resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4’s Classic variant has a 1.19-inch screen on the 42mm variant and a 1.36-inch display on the 46mm variant.

Both watches come with Samsung’s new 5nm Exynos W920 chip. It is paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The 40mm/ 42mm variants pack a 247 mAh battery, whereas the 44mm/ 46mm variants pack a 361 mAh battery.

The Watch 4 series is claimed to offer up to 40 hours of battery life on a single charge. It offers up to 10 hours of juice with a 30-minute charge.

Samsung has introduced a new BioActive sensor that does the job of three health sensors. These include the Optical Heart Rate Sensor, ECG and BioElectrical Impedance Analysis Sensor.

The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in Bluetooth and LTE options. It has been launched in two sizes – 40mm and 44mm. The smartwatch’s price in the US starts at $249.99 (roughly Rs 18,600).

The Watch 4 Classic also comes in Bluetooth and LTE options and in 42mm, 46mm sizes. Its price starts at USD 349.99 (roughly Rs 26,050) for the 42mm Bluetooth variant.
