Tata Group Starts Making iPhones in India

The Tata Group has started making Apple’s iPhone in India, per new report.

The news comes after Apple CEO Tim Cook met Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran during his visit to India.

Tata has reportedly closed a deal with Wistron worth Rs 5,000 crores to acquire its Apple operation in India.

Tata Group is reportedly making iPhones at Wistron’s Narasapura factory in the Kolar district of Karnataka.

A report claims that Tata will also make the upcoming iPhone 15 or 16 in India.

It will join the exclusive club of contract manufacturers like Foxconn, Pegatron and Luxshare to make iPhones.

The Tata group is expected to get more orders for assembling the iPhone for Apple in 2024.
