WhatsApp announced the Call Links feature for WhatsApp audio and video calls earlier this week. Call Links on WhatsApp essentially allows you to create a link for a call and share it with an individual or a group. Now, the WhatsApp Call Link feature is rolling out to beta users as Meta confirmed earlier this week.
The latest beta for Android v 2.22.21.13 brings this new feature and it will roll out to all the beta users with this update and people on the stable channel of updates will receive it eventually in a few days. This new feature from WhatsApp works similar to other popular apps like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and more.
Call Links on WhatsApp Rolling Out
To get started and check if you have got this update, just make sure you are on the latest version by going to the Google Play Store and update the WhatsApp app if you have any pending updates. Now, open the app and go to the “Calls” tab and you will notice a new option on the top 一 “Create call link”. As of now, this option is available only for those who are running on the latest v 2.22.21.13 beta for Android. 
As said earlier, you can share the link for both audio and video calls. Up to 32 members can join the call using the link shared. The link can be shared with any of your contacts and users who are not in your contacts. Here is how to use the feature.
How to Use WhatsApp Call Links Feature
- Open WhatsApp on your phone
- Swipe and Go to the Calls tab
- Tap on “Create call link”
- A Unique link will be created for your call
- Tap on Call type and select Video or Voice
- You can share the link via WhatsApp, copy the link, and share the link via other means like Twitter Instagram, message, mail, drive, etc.
Once a user joins the call, you can also add more users just like you add on any group call. In the calls tab, WhatsApp calls made using links will have a link icon in the calls tab. Currently, the feature is working for beta users and more users are expected to get this feature soon.
