Early rumours were true as X, previously Twitter, has officially introduced two new subscription tiers. These are called X Premium+ and X Basic which join the existing X Premium tier. The two plans are the most expensive and most affordable subscription plans respectively. Here is everything you need to know about the prices and their respective benefits.
X Premium+ Price and Features
X has priced the X Premium+ subscription at Rs 1,300 per month and Rs 13,600 per year. The annual subscription will help you save 12% as compared to paying on a monthly basis. This new tier is available for purchase only through the web as of now.
The biggest benefit of this new tier is a completely ad-free experience on the platform. It also offers the largest boost in replies as compared to other subscription tiers.

X Basic Price and Features
X Basic is the cheapest subscription tier on the platform. It will cost you Rs 273.75 per month and you can save 11% by paying Rs 2,590.48 for the annual plan. This plan is also available exclusively through the web.
While it is undoubtedly a pocket-friendly plan, it misses out on account verification checkmarks, ad-revenue-sharing benefits, and creator tools. You will need to subscribe to either X Premium or Premium+ if you want those benefits too.

For the uninitiated, the existing X Premium subscription tier is priced at Rs 650 for the monthly plan and Rs 6,800 for the annual plan. It has all the benefits of the Premium+ tier but it offers ads and a comparatively smaller boost to replies.
X recently updated its app to offer audio and video calling support. The feature is enabled by default but can be turned off through Privacy and Safety settings. Those who want to use calling functionality can choose who can initiate calls with them. These include people in their address book, people they follow, or only verified users. A user will need to open DMs with the person they want to call to access audio and video call options.
