Xbox Series X and Series S controller prices in India revised, Microsoft says pre-orders not planned

XBOX Series X and Series S both the next-gen gaming consoles went up for pre-orders last month across the globe including India. However, Microsoft is yet to disclose the availability of the new XBOX Wireless Controller. The gamepad was listed in India website with a price tag of Rs 3,999 for the black or white variant. The special edition blue colour option was listed at Rs 4,999, the price of the controller seems to be affordable if you consider it with the price hike of the current XBOX controllers.

According to a report from Mako Reactor, Microsoft India has confirmed them that the upcoming controller is going to arrive with a revised price. As per the report, the company said that the white and black colour variants will be shipped for sale at Rs 5,390 while the blue colour variant will cost you Rs 5,890. Microsoft didn’t reveal the information about the pre-orders of the controllers.

”The prices are getting corrected as we speak: the actual MRP is Rs.5,390/- for Black and White Controllers & Rs.5,890/- for Light Blue Controller,” the report quoted an email from a Microsoft India spokesperson. “There are no pre-orders planned as of now.”

Do note that the latest XBOX Wireless Controllers are going to be compatible with Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One family, Android, iOS, and Windows 10 devices as well. It seems the XBOX controller comes with more compatibility than the PS5 DualSense controller.

The XBOX Series X and the Series S both the gaming consoles are up for pre-orders on Amazon India and Flipkart at Rs 49,990 and Rs 34,990 respectively. The XBOX Series X comes in black colour option with 1TB storage and the Series S comes in white colour option for 512GB storage variant. According to the Amazon India listing, the Xbox Series S will start shipping to the customers from November 10th.
