The rumour mill has been churning out some details of the Xiaomi 12 series of late. The Chinese smartphone giant is expected to unveil its next flagship series in December 2021. If rumours are to be believed, we can expect the Xiaomi 12 series launch event to be hosted soon after Qualcomm unveils its next flagship processor at the Qualcomm Summit on November 30. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed any details regarding the Mi 11 series successor. While we wait for some official confirmation, tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the flagship series will launch in China next month.

The tipster did not reveal any specific launch date details. He, however, claimed that the device will feature Qualcomm’s next flagship processor. Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon SM8345 SoC, aka Snapdragon 898 SoC, on November 30.

In addition to this, the tipster notes that the display and the camera of the Xiaomi 12 series will be dominant. He did not dive deep into the details.

Xiaomi 12 leaked specs

Previously, it was reported that the Xiaomi 12 series will come with a 50MP primary camera. The company could use Samsung’s GN5 sensor, which was unveiled earlier this year. In addition to this, the phone’s triple-camera setup is also said to feature two more 50MP sensors for ultrawide and telephoto shooting. The latter is expected to feature a 5x periscope zoom.

While the display size remains unknown, it was reported that the device will have a high screen-to-body ratio with a tiny hole punch cutout for the front camera.

Under the hood, the phone is rumoured to support 100W fast charging. It would be quite odd to see Xiaomi not launch its flagship series with its fastest 120W fast charging tech launched earlier this year. This is merely a rumour and we would suggest waiting for the official details for more clarity.
