Xiaomi 12 Lite, Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom Specifications Leaked: Snapdragon 7-series chipsets, 120Hz Displays and More

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 12 series handsets in China. The company is said to introduce the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphones on December 28th in its home market. The Chinese brand usually launches a cheaper Lite variant in its Xiaomi lineup, and the Xiaomi 12 series will be no exception. A new piece of information has recently surfaced on the web, courtesy of Xiaomiui, claiming that Xiaomi 12 series will also include Xiaomi 12 Lite and 12 Lite Zoom. Both these handsets are said to make their debut in March 2022.

A recent finding by Xiaomiui reveals that the Chinese smartphone giant is working on handsets with codenames Zijin and Taoyao. Taoyao is the codename for the upcoming 12 Lite while Zijin is the codename for the alleged 12 Lite Zoom.

As per the information uncovered by Xiaomiui, the Xiaomi 12 Lite, with codename Taoyao, carries model numbers 2203129G (G represents Global variant) and 2203129I (I represents Indian variant). While the Mi 12 Lite Zoom will carry model number 2203129BC and will be exclusive for the Chinese market. Both these handsets have already been spotted on IMEI database. Apart from Monikers, and model numbers, the report has also revealed key specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series handsets.

Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom Leaked Specifications

The Mi 12 Lite and the Mi 12 Lite Zoom are said to feature 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED displays with a 1080 × 2400 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Mi 12 Lite series devices might offer an in-display fingerprint scanner compared to the side-mounted scanner on their predecessors. These handsets will either be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G or the Snapdragon 780G mobile processors and will boot Android 12 based MIUI 13 if the claims by Xiaomiui are to be believed.

Mi 12 Lite series handsets are said to come equipped with a triple rear camera setup including a Samsung ISOCELL GW3 primary sensor. While the auxiliary lenses are expected to be ultra-wide-angle and macro lenses. Though, the specifications and resolutions of the other two sensors are not revealed yet.
