Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro Global Variants Listed on Indonesia Telecom Certification, Launch Expected Soon

Xiaomi 12 series was launched in December 2021 in China. The company launched three new devices under its new flagship series. These include the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and the 12X. The devices are expected to launch soon in international markets, including India. Xiaomi has not confirmed the exact launch date yet. However, we can expect the new premium Xiaomi smartphones to debut in a couple of months. While we wait for the official confirmation, the global variants have been spotted on the Indonesia Telecom certification website.

The vanilla Xiaomi 12 global variant has the model number 2201123G, whereas the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which is the most premium among the three devices, comes with the model number 2201122G.

The listing on the Indonesia Telecom certification website does not reveal any specs of the devices. However, we can expect the phones to launch very soon in the global markets. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro specifications, features and other details.

Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Specifications

Both Xiaomi smartphones come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in China. We can expect the global variants to feature the same. They feature up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The 12 Pro packs a 4,600 mAh battery with 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The vanilla 12, on the other hand, has a 4500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging, 50W wireless charging support.

On the back, both phones have a triple-camera setup with different sensors. The 12 Pro has a 50MP 1/1.28-inch Sony IMX707 primary camera sensor with a 50MP telephoto camera (2x zoom) and a 50MP ultrawide camera. Xiaomi’s standard 12 variant has a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP tele-macro camera.

For selfies, both phones have a 32MP front camera. The 12 Pro has a 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED display, whereas the standard 12 has a 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. Both devices feature support for a 120Hz refresh rate. They run Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out of the box and are scheduled to get the MIUI 13 update later this month.
