[Exclusive] Xiaomi 12 Pro to Launch in India in Q1 of 2022; To Have Aggressive Pricing and Specifications

The tipster also tells us that the device will give tough competition to a lot of smartphones in its price segment. There is no official word on the price. However, Sharma claims that the 12 Pro will be priced aggressively in India.

The 12 Pro was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs 55,500). We can expect the device to launch in India under Rs 60,000. It will compete against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S22, the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro and other premium smartphones from the likes of Apple and Vivo.

Specifications and features

The top-of-the-line Xiaomi flagship features a 6.73-inch E5 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels. It has an LTPO 2.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate support and a peak brightness of 1500 nits. The smartphone has a curved screen with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the 32MP front camera.

On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup. There is a 50MP Sony IMX 707 main lens with OIS. The main camera has a sensor size of 1/1.28-inch. It also comes with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera sensor.

Under the hood, there is a 4,600 mAh battery with 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It draws power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC processor. The device has up to 12GB of RAM in China with up to 256GB of internal storage.

We can expect the India variant to come with the same specs found on the China variant.
