Xiaomi has dropped the price of its 2022 flagship phone, the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The premium smartphone was launched last year with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and 120W fast charging support. The 12 Pro is replaced by the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which is currently the company’s flagship offering for the Indian market. Despite being over a year old, the 12 Pro packs some quality hardware. Xiaomi dropped the price of the 2022 flagship phone soon after it launched the 13 Pro in India.
The former flagship series smartphone was available for Rs 52,999. Xiaomi has announced another offer on the 12 Pro, bringing its price to under Rs 50,000. Xiaomi 12 Pro can be bought for an effective price of Rs 42,999 for the base 8GB RAM variant. The offer price also applies to the 12GB RAM variant of the phone.

Xiaomi 12 Pro Gets Massive Price Drop During Sale
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is typically available for Rs 52,999 on Mi.com, Mi Home Stores and other channels. However, the company has announced a new price, which can be availed during the sale period.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is available on mi.com for as low as Rs 44,999. If you have an ICICI Bank credit or debit card, you can avail a Rs 2,000 discount, which brings the price down to Rs 42,999. For the price, users get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 12GB RAM variant, which also offers 256GB of storage, can be bought for Rs 46,999, which is inclusive of the Rs 2,000 cashback offer on ICICI Bank cards. The device is also available in three colours — Couture Blue, Noir Black and Opera Mauve.

For the price, the 12 Pro offers a flagship experience at a relatively affordable price. The device features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is still quite capable and can handle almost any task you throw at it. It also packs a sizeable 4600mAh battery, offering support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi 12 Pro: Specifications
The USP of the 12 Pro is its camera system. There is a triple-camera setup on the back. The phone has a 50MP Sony IMX707 primary camera, a 50MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens and another 50MP sensor with a 2x telephoto lens. There is a 32MP front camera for selfies. On the front, the phone has a 6.73-inch Samsung E5 OLED display with a 2K resolution. In addition, the screen offers support for up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has an HDR10+ certification along with support for Dolby Vision. Lastly, the screen has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection against drops and scratches.
Security-wise, the phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner and support for AI-based face unlock. It runs Android 12 out of the box with MIUI 13 out of the box. However, the Android 13 updated with MIUI 14 on top has been rolled out in India.
