Xiaomi, on July 4, launched the 12S series in China. The company launched three smartphones in its new flagship smartphone lineup. These include the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro and the 12S Ultra. The company also launched the 12 Pro Dimensity 9000+ SoC alongside. It looks like the Xiaomi 12 series will include another smartphone in the lineup. A new leak claims that the Xiaomi 12T 5G will launch soon.
The Xiaomi 12T series is expected to launch later this year in India. It is likely to include a vanilla model and a Pro variant as well. Ahead of the official launch, some key details of the vanilla 12T have leaked online. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 12T 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.
Xiaomi 12T Processor Details Tipped
Xiaomi 12T series is expected to debut in select markets, including India, very soon. The 12T is likely to feature a MediaTek Dimensity SoC. According to tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the Xiaomi 12T will feature a Dimensity 8100-Ultra chipset. MediaTek has not officially announced the Ultra chipset yet.
It is unknown if the chipset will come with some custom-tuning like the Dimensity 8100-Max, which is found in the Realme GT Neo 3. The Dimensity 8100 SoC is also found in the OnePlus 10R.
If the leaked processor is true, it could be possible that Xiaomi prices the device aggressively in India. The company launched the Xiaomi 11T Pro last year in India for under Rs 40,000, which undercut the OnePlus 9RT’s launch price of Rs 43,999. The same can be expected this time around. The 10R has a starting price tag of Rs 38,999 for the base model with 80W fast charging.
According to some reports, the 12T is codenamed Plato. The 12T Pro, on the other hand, is codenamed diting. Xiaomi could launch the Pro model with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in India. The company has not confirmed any details about the launch at the time of writing this. We will share more details about the Xiaomi 12T series India launch timeline once available.
