Xiaomi 12T Series to Introduce 200MP Camera for Company, Global Launch Set for October 4

The brand is also expected to launch the Redmi Pad in the same event.

Xiaomi recently announced that it will be hosting a global launch event on October 4. Now, a week ahead of the launch event, Xiaomi has revealed that it will be launching the Xiaomi 12T series in the upcoming event. The brand took it to social media channels to make a formal announcement. In social media, the brand is also using the #200MPImagingSystem hashtag confirming that we will see Xiaomi’s 200MP camera technology in an upcoming smartphone which is expected to be the Xiaomi 12T Pro.

To those unaware, Xiaomi 12T series is expected to consist of two devices – the Xiaomi 12T and the Xiaomi 12T Pro. Alongside, the Xiaomi 12T series, Xiaomi might also launch the Redmi Pad in the upcoming launch event. Take a look at the social media post.

Xiaomi 12T Series: Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi 12T is said to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. Whereas, the Pro variant might sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. The Xiaomi 12T Pro will reportedly come equipped with 120W HyperCharge fast charging and might rely on a 5000mAh battery unit.

The Xiaomi 12T series devices are said to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, centered punch-hole notch, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Xiaomi 12T Pro will reportedly get a 1.5K resolution display. On the other hand, the vanilla variant might offer a Full HD+ resolution display.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro is believed to sport a 200MP camera sensor. Whereas, the vanilla variant is expected to feature a 108MP camera setup.
