Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its new T-series smartphones. The company is reportedly working on the launch of the Xiaomi 12T and the 12T Pro, which will launch in global markets. The devices will launch as a successor of the Xiaomi 11T series. The company has not revealed the official launch date yet. Meanwhile, a new report has revealed the key specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 12T smartphone.
XiaomiUI has listed the key specifications of the phone. The report reveals that the 12T 5G will come with an improved version of the Dimensity 8100 SoC, and it is not the Dimensity 8100 Max found in the OPPO Reno 8 Pro 5G. Instead, the chipset would be called the Dimensity 8100 Ultra. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 12T 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.
Xiaomi 12T Specifications
The Xiaomi 12T will launch as a new premium smartphone very soon. Ahead of the official launch, the phone’s key specs have leaked. The report stated that the 12T will feature a Dimensity 8100 Ultra SoC. While the chipset is said to be an improved version of the 5nm Dimensity 8100, little is known about the specifics.
The phone will launch with 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage along with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The report also revealed that the 12T will bump up the screen resolution to 1220 x 2712 pixels. It will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner, further confirming the use of an OLED display.
On the back, there will be a triple-camera setup. The phone will feature a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor. It will be paired with an 8MP Samsung S5K4H7 ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The main camera has a sensor size of 1/1.67-inches. for selfies, there will be a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor.
Details about the battery size remain unknown. We can expect the phone to support 67W/ 120W fast charging out of the box. The phone is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery.
