Xiaomi 13 Lite 5G Price Tipped Ahead of MWC Launch Event

The Xiaomi 13 series is set to make its global debut on February 26 at MWC 2023. Xiaomi is expected to launch three premium phones globally. These include the 13 Pro, 13 5G and the 13 Lite 5G. The Xiaomi 13 Pro 5G is confirmed to launch in India on the same day. Xiaomi is also expected to launch the 13 Lite 5G in the coming weeks. Ahead of the official launch, live images of the 13 Lite had leaked, which suggested that it is a rebadged Xiaomi Civi 2 5G from China.

Now, a new leak has revealed the price of the upcoming Xiaomi Lite series smartphone. Tipster Roland Quandt has claimed that the 13 Lite 5G will launch with at least 128GB of storage. The phone will also be available in three colour options. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 13 Lite 5G price, specifications and other details ahead of the launch.

Xiaomi 13 Lite 5G Price and Specifications

The Xiaomi 13 Lite 5G is likely to launch with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The base model will be priced at EUR 499 (roughly Rs 44,000). In comparison, the Civi 2 5G was launched last year in China for CNY 2399 (roughly Rs 28,900).

The phone is tipped to launch globally in Black, Blue and Pink colour options. It will launch with a triple-camera setup on the back. The camera setup will include a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, a 20MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The 13 Lite 5G will not get Leica’s touch for the cameras which the 13 5G and 13 Pro 5G get in China and other markets.

The 13 Lite 5G will also sport a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The 10-bit screen is curved and will offer 1000 nits of peak brightness. Other display features include support for 1920Hz PWM Dimming, Dolby Vision support, etc.

There is a pill-shaped cutout with dual front camera sensors. The 13 Lite 5G will have its version of the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island, according to the leak. There is no Face ID setup but the phone has two front cameras. There is a 32MP wide camera sensor and a 32MP ultra-wide camera sensor.

The device will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. It will also feature a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging out of the box. The 13 Lite will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, etc. There is no word on whether the phone will get the latest Android 13 update or if it will boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 globally.

Xiaomi is expected to launch the phone in various markets, including India. The device is expected to be priced a lot lower than the European price that has leaked online. The 13 Lite 5G base model with 8GB of RAM could be priced in India between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000. We will share more details as and when available.
