Xiaomi launched the 13 series late last year in China. The company launched the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro globally ahead of MWC 2023. The lineup currently includes only two premium phones. Xiaomi is expected to launch a new Ultra model later this year. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra might launch in May or June 2023. The company has not confirmed the launch details of the phone yet. However, the rumour mill continues to churn out more information about the upcoming Xiaomi Ultra smartphone.
Tipster Yogesh Brar has now listed the leaked specifications and features of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphone. The leaked details reveal that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra camera setup might get an upgrade. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 13 Ultra specifications, features and other details known so far.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Specifications: What is Known So Far
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be the company’s most premium smartphone launching in 2023. The phone’s specs have leaked ahead of launch. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will pack flagship hardware as expected. According to the leaked details, the phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The same SoC is found in the other two Xiaomi 13 series phones, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro 5G.
The 13 Ultra is also said to sport a tall 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution. The screen is likely to remain curved from the sides and sport a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. It will come with support for a 120Hz refresh rate as well. The LTPO screen will refresh between 1Hz and 120Hz.

On the back, the camera setup will feature four 50MP sensors. There will be a 50MP primary camera sensor, which is likely to feature a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. The camera setup on the back is also said to feature a 50MP ultra-wide camera sensor and a 50MP telephoto camera. There will be another 50MP telephoto camera, which is likely to offer a farther zoom range.
For selfies, the 13 Ultra will feature a 32MP front camera sensor. As expected, the 13 Ultra will have a Leica-tuned camera system on the back. The camera setup is expected to include the various portrait mode features and Leica photography styles available in the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Under the hood, there will be a big 4900mAh battery. The phone will offer support for 90W fast charging, which is slower than the 13 Pro’s 120W charging support. It is also said to offer 50W wireless charging support.
Brar’s leak suggests that Xiaomi might not join the 1TB smartphone club with the 13 Ultra. The phone is said to launch with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The base model of the phone might pack 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its top-tier storage option will pack 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Lastly, the phone will launch with Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of MIUI 14 on top of Android.
